DIAGNOSTIC TESTING:
For those students who have not previously been using the Accelerated Christian Education curriculum, we do diagnostic testing in Math and English to determine where to begin. Through the diagnostic testing we can place students according to capability and pinpoint any weakness or gaps in their past learning experiences and then place them in PACES that will fill in these weak areas.
The Accelerated Christian Education curriculum is not based on grades, but on levels allowing the students to work on different levels at the same time. For example, an eighth grade student, according to chronological age, may through diagnostic testing, be placed in sixth grade English or Math to begin work in the curriculum. But at the same time he may work at different levels for other subjects.
This eighth grade student would be able to fill in missed material while still progressing on grade level in all his other subjects. By using this approach to education, a student is assured that he will have a solid foundation in all subject areas in order to be successful in future years.
